What a road tire in good condition for a mountain bike?

I need to commute stains. I usually use Tioga City Slickers because they are cheap and easy to work on wet roads. Does anyone know a comparabel tire or maybe a better. In addition, it is preferable to use a separate axis for the rejection, or just use it to change tires? I have an XT / Mavic 717 wheelset with disc rotors sitting in my office for "not having to buy a new axle. I was just worried about adjusting derailleur and tweezers. I must make some adjustments when I put my new training wheel set, but perhaps it was because my derailleur was bent. I must try again a nice change to see how it goes

Stick with tires cheap, especially if you're single trip, but unused for performance. Personally I use Forte City Slick (26 x 1.5), and costs $ 8 each, and work well. The only problem is changing the tires have 1 / 2 hours per tire, because of the tight fit. If you continue to share, you may want to consider a wider tire that does not stick to the rim. You can try if hard, but you save time, and maybe wear on the board. The ideal would be to have a 2nd set wheels because the tires door changing tires and wheels. You'd be lucky to get out for less than $ 200 if you decide to go that route, more if you have brakes disc. Personally, find a cheap used bike 2 displacement.
